We opened Paulie’s Barbershop in our neighbourhood, Little Mountain, to have a place for everyone to hang out and get their hair cut. We are happy to serve the people we live around and care about.
We offer traditional barber cuts and beard grooming to everybody.
Paul Donnici – Barber/Owner
Paul was proud to open Paulie’s Barbershop in December of 2015.
When he’s not cutting he is most happy simultaneously watching both football and baseball, eating a hot plate of homemade pasta and sipping on affordable red wine.
Will O’Reilly – Senior Barber
Previous to life in Vancouver, Will has spent the past 10 years cutting hair at his family’s barbershop just outside of Dublin, Ireland.
From the little we understand, his interests include Stanley Kubrick, photography and hiking. On Will’s day off you’ll commonly find him out exploring our local mountains or training for the Ironman this coming summer. Note: no relation to American TV personality Bill O’Reilly, we made sure.
Brendon McGurk – Barber
Brendon is brand new to Canada, but he brings with him nearly 10 years of barbering experience. A native of New Zealand, Brendon tells me he has yet to see snow and we have yet to see him wear long pants.
When not cutting hair, Brendon seems very interested in music, art and tattoos. He tells me that he is very keen to explore our great city and make some new Canadian mates.
Darcy Hancock – Barber
Darcy is the newest member of the team at Paulie’s but he is a veteran of Main Street, having lived local for the better part of the past two decades. A graduate of the Toni & Guy academy, Darcy has been cutting hair off and on for the past 15 years, most recently barbering in Yaletown.
Not only is he the only other employee at Paulie’s with a Canadian passport, Darcy is an accomplished musician and an active contributor to Vancouver’s music scene. We hear he cooks a pretty mean steak too. Please note, he’s the oldest guy in the shop, so you may have to speak up a bit.
